“We contested the elections in the first phase, for which I had just 20 days, and all the equations were against the opposition. Despite that, people showered their blessings, and I managed 4,46,703 votes, which shows the resentment of youth and the poor against the present government,” he said.

He added, “I am 100% sure the first-time voters and educated class voted against the current regime.”

Lal Singh also claimed that he managed to give a tough fight despite all the odds. “Before the elections, he (Dr Jitendra Singh) claimed a lead of 4-5 lakh, which was reduced with effective fighting,” he said.

He said that the Prime Minister’s speeches deviated from the main topics to trivial matters like ‘Mujra’. “In contrast, the INDI Alliance successfully addressed people’s issues and performed well.”

Singh also mentioned that this election serves as a launching point for the upcoming assembly elections, where he believes the Congress party will outperform and comfortably defeat the BJP. (KNO)
