Crackdown in Budgam village, three youth arrested

Three youth were arrested and taken to unknown destination after Special Operation Group (SOG) and Army personnel launched a joint search operation (Crackdown) in Dharmona Soibugh area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.

Police sources said that after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in Dharmona Soibugh area, Army personnel form 2 RR and SOG men cordoned off the area and launched a combing operation.

Sources said that three youth were detained during the door-to-door search. They have been identified as Niyaz Ahmed Khan son of Ghulam Ahmed, Muhammad Rayees Khan son of Saif-u-Din and Shabir Ahmed Dhobi son of Ghulam Ahmed Dhobi all residents of Dharmona Soibugh.

The family members of one of the detained said that they don’t know why they were arrested and where they were taken. (CNS)
