SRINAGAR: The METI Japan Internship Programme 2024 is currently accepting applications. Students from developing nations are eligible for this fully funded internship. By enlisting international students and talent from around the world, the METI Government of Japan seeks to alleviate the lack of financial and human resources in Japanese small- and medium-sized enterprises.
The deadline for applying is June 30, 2024. To be considered, applicants must be citizens of developing nations, fluent in English or Japanese, and between the ages of 18 and 40 by August 31, 2024. Applicants must provide a recommendation letter, an enrollment or graduation certificate, and comply with the specific requirements established by each host company.
The advantages of the METI Government of Japan Internship 2024 include insurance coverage, pre-training, help obtaining a visa, round-trip airfare, lodging, required equipment such as PCs, and activity support costs (¥1,000 per day for the online course and ¥3,000 per day for the offline course). The objectives of this programme are to strengthen cross-cultural ties, establish global networks, and offer beneficial professional experience to interns.
Selected interns will assist various Japanese companies in their internationalization efforts while gaining invaluable experience. There are two kinds of internships available through the METI Japan Internship Programme 2024: online and on-site. The duration of the online internship is approximately 80 hours, while the on-site internship lasts approximately 30 workdays over six weeks. Both options offer a unique opportunity to experience Japanese work culture, either by visiting Japan or by working remotely from the home country.
