The Ashai Family: Ghulam Ahmed Ashai’s sons and daughters. In the first row are sisters – Nasreen Ashai (Mattu), Ayesha Ashai (Drabu), Khadijah Khan (Mrs Abdul Rashid Khan), Zarifa Ashai (Drabu) and Tasneem Khan. The men standing in the row are brothers – Anwar Ashai, Manzoor Ashai, Ghulam Kadir Ashai and Ghulam Yasin Ashai.
Ghulam Ahmed Ashai, Jammu and Kashmir University’s first Registrar. He was Abdul Rashid Khan’s father-in-law.
