SRINAGAR: Yale School of the Environment invites candidates to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship at the Malone Disturbance Ecology Lab.

For eligibility, the candidates must hold a PhD in data science, statistics, or physical/biological sciences, with a minimum of two years of work experience. Expertise in eddy covariance, atmospheric modeling, geospatial data processing, and upscaling flux data is required. Skills in working with large datasets, designing data products, expertise in macrosystem ecology, machine learning, data assimilation, and synthesis science are highly valued.
For the position, the selected candidate will design and execute workflows to spatialize CO2 and CH4 fluxes and concentrations for over 100 sites from NEON and AmeriFlux. They will play a key role in analyzing spatial and temporal carbon patterns in ecosystems, landscapes, and global processes, conducting innovative research over a 2- to 3-year period, with annual evaluations for reappointment.
The candidate will have access to Yale School of the Environment core facilities, reside locally, and maintain a regular workspace on campus.
Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from INR 5,656.16 to INR 64,87,950.30, depending on experience, along with health insurance. Benefits include a retirement plan, paid time off, sick leave, parental leave, counseling and support services, and commuter benefits.
