SRINAGAR: A tourist from Madhya Pradesh passed away due to a heart attack in the Doodpathri area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district last night.
An official informed that the deceased, identified as Lalit Kumar Bandi, a 72-year-old tourist from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, collapsed while visiting the tourist spot of Doodpathri on Wednesday evening.
He was immediately rushed to SDH Khansahab, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
After completing the necessary medical procedures, his body was airlifted to his hometown for the final rites.
A police officer informed that a case has been registered, and further investigation is underway. (KS)
