8.46 Lakh Jammu Kashmir Farmers Getting Rs 182 Crore On Tuesday

   

SRINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute the 17th instalment of the PM Kisan Nidhi Scheme from his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.

In Jammu and Kashmir, 8,46,266 farmers will benefit from the PM Kisan Nidhi Scheme, receiving a total of Rs 182.55 crore directly into their bank accounts. This initiative aims to support and uplift farmers across the region, ensuring financial assistance reaches them efficiently.

During this significant event, Modi will release Rs 20,000 crore for 9,25,99,513 farmers and grant certificates to 30,000 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) of Krishi Sakhis virtually from Varanasi. Additionally, he will personally hand over certificates to five SHGs present in Varanasi.

Union Ministers and other dignitaries will join the event at 50 locations nationwide, including two in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. In Jammu, Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, will join the function at SKUAST, while in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, Union Minister of State for Home, Nityanand Rai, will be in attendance.

The ceremony will see Union Ministers and dignitaries participating at various locations, where they will distribute certificates to Self Help Groups of Krishi Sakhis and address the gathered attendees.

Prime Minister Modi will address a Grand Kissan Sammelan from Varanasi, connecting with farmers and SHGs of Krishi Sakhis present at the 50 locations nationwide. Several Ministers are expected to be present in Varanasi alongside the Prime Minister.

The release of the 17th instalment of the PM Kisan Nidhi at around 4 PM will benefit millions of farmers across the country. Modi will personally distribute certificates to five SHGs, while the remaining 29,995 will receive theirs virtually. His address to the Grand Kissan Sammelan will be a highlight, focusing on the government’s commitment to supporting farmers.

In addition to Jammu and Pulwama, Ministers and dignitaries will attend functions at 48 other locations across India, interacting with farmers and SHGs of Krishi Sakhis, emphasising the widespread impact of the PM Kisan Nidhi Scheme.
