SRINAGAR: Tragedy struck in Nowshera area of Rajouri district on Sunday afternoon when two boys were involved in a drowning incident.
Amandeep Singh (15), son of Kamaljeet Singh, and Nakshpreet Singh (15), son of Kulveer Singh, both residents of Choki, were bathing in Munnawar Tawi river when they met incident.
Both boys drowned and were later rescued. They were promptly shifted to SDH Nowshera for medical attention.
Unfortunately, Amandeep Singh was pronounced dead upon arrival. Nakshpreet Singh, however, was referred to GMC Rajouri for further treatment.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.(KS).
