SRINAGAR: Police have booked a notorious and most-wanted drug smuggler under the PIT NDPS Act, following formal detention orders from the competent authority.
Abdul Qayoom Mir, son of Gh Nabi Mir and resident of Pandithpora Qaziabad, has been detained under the PIT NDPS Act and lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu. He has multiple cases registered against him and has been involved in promoting drug abuse by supplying drugs to local youth and other areas of the district.
Despite his involvement in numerous FIRs at Police Station Kralgund, Abdul Qayoom Mir continued his illegal activities. The public has appreciated the police’s actions against him, acknowledging the police’s ongoing efforts to combat drug smuggling and maintain a drug-free society.
