SRINAGAR: A collision between two bikes occurred near 22-RR Camp in Zaloora Harwan, Sopore area of Baramulla district on Monday evening.
An official said that five people sustained injuries when two bikes bearing registration numbers JK05K-1037 and JK09A-8249 collided. The injured include riders and pillion riders.
The injured persons have been identified as Saqlain Shabir Bhat (23), Tawfeeq Shafi Bhat (19-20), Farhath Rashid Bhat (18), Mehraj Ud din Mir and Hazim Mohi-ud-din Beigh (3), all residents of Harwan, Bungam Langate, and Zaloora.
According to an official from GMC Handwara, all injured individuals were transported to District Hospital Handwara for medical care.
Hazim was referred to Barzulla Hospital, Srinagar due to a suspected fracture, while Mehraj Ud din Mir was referred to SMHS Hospital for further treatment, the official added. (KNS)
