SRINAGAR: The Federation of Chambers of Industries Kashmir (FCIK), on Tuesday conveyed sympathies on the passing of the mother of Syed Afaq Qadiri, a distinguished industrialist and President of the Industrial Association Silk Park Zakura.

FCIK President, Shahid Kamili, expressed his condolences, stating, “The entire industrial fraternity shares in their loss and grief.” Members of the Advisory Committee, including M.D Qureshi, Shakeel Qalander, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, and M. Ashraf Mir, joined in conveying their sympathies, with prayers for the eternal peace of the deceased.

Reflecting on the community’s solidarity, Kamili affirmed, “We assure the bereaved family that the entire industrial fraternity is with them during this difficult time.”

A substantial presence from the industrial fraternity marked the funeral prayers on Monday, with members from the Advisory Committee, Election Commission, and various industrial associations participating. The press release noted, “Condolences are pouring in from members of organised industrial estates, unorganised sector from across the valley besides many of them visiting the residence of Qadiris to offer personal condolences.”

Meanwhile, the Kashmir Small Scale Industrial Association (KSSIA) held a condolence meeting at the Association office in Baghi Ali Mardan. President Syed Fazal Illahi chaired the meeting, stating, “We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families, praying for the eternal peace of the departed.” Members gathered to express solidarity and offer support during this challenging period.

“In these moments of grief, we stand together as an industrial fraternity, offering solace and support to our fellow members,” it said.
