SRINAGAR: Police have initiated an investigation after a 75-year-old man was discovered deceased in the paddy fields of Kangloora area in Tral, located in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, according to officials on Saturday.
A police official informed the news agency KNO that on Friday evening, the Tral Police Station received information regarding a deceased person in the paddy fields of Kangloora, Tral.
A police team promptly responded to the report and confirmed its accuracy. The deceased individual has been identified as Karan Singh, aged approximately 75 years, and a resident of Kangloora, Tral.
“Initial examination revealed no external injuries on the deceased body, and a detailed FSL inspection, scrutiny, and crime scene photography have been conducted,” the official stated.
“Postmortem is currently underway by a panel of doctors, and legal proceedings have been initiated while an inquiry is in progress,” he added. (KNO)
