Governor NN Vohra, who visited the Gurez sector today, was briefed by the Brigade Commander, regarding the situation along the LoC.
Governor was also briefed by Sajad Hussain Ganai, Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora and Sandeep Singh, SDM Gurez regarding the problems relating to the administration of this area, which remains dis–connected for nearly six months in the year.
Governor, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner, also visited the Kishan Ganga Dam site and held discussions with Khalid Umer, Chief Engineer of the Project about the operational plans. Governor was pleased to note that all the 143 families, displaced by this Project, had been fully compensated and assisted in their rehabilitation.
