SRINAGAR: Central South University, China is offering fully funded scholarship opportunity for international students all over the globe. It is applicable for undergraduate, masters, and PhD programmes. The application process has already started and the deadline is February 15, 2024.
The scholarship encompasses tuition, on-campus accommodation, medical insurance fees, and a monthly stipend. The programme period for a Bachelor’s is four-five years, for a Master’s three years and for the doctorate programme is four years. The scholarship coverage provides a monthly stipend of CNY 3000 (INR 34,981.80) for master’s students and CNY 3500 (INR 40,818.75) for doctoral students. The programme also includes a partial scholarship comprising tuition, on-campus accommodation, and medical insurance fees.
Applicants for Chinese-taught programmes must achieve a minimum score of 220 in HSK4 for science and engineering programmes and 260 in HSK4 for arts, social science, and medical programmes (for a Bachelor of Chinese Language and Literature, a minimum score of 200 in HSK5). Students unable to meet the Chinese proficiency requirement must complete a one-year preparatory course in the Chinese language and meet the HSK above requirement before commencing their degrees. Applicants for English-taught programmes should attain a minimum score of 6 in IELTS or 85 in TOEFL. Applicants whose first language or the official language of their country is Chinese or English and the applicants who have completed a degree programme taught in Chinese or English are exempted from proving their language proficiency.
For a Bachelor’s degree, applicants should possess a high school diploma or its equivalent and be between 18 and 25 years old. For a Master’s degree, applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and be between 18 and 35 years old. For a Doctorate degree, applicants should hold a Master’s degree or equivalent and be between 18 and 40 years old. Applicants for postgraduate programmes are required to have a strong academic background and innovative research capabilities.
