SRINAGAR: To further the mission of enhancing office cleanliness with a special emphasis on space management, the Fire & Emergency Services department has initiated an extensive campaign across all Fire & Emergency Stations and offices throughout the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

This cleanliness initiative encompasses a large-scale effort dedicated to tidiness, efficient space utilization, and enhancement of Fire & Emergency Stations and Offices, under the theme ‘Clean India, Healthy India.’

Furthermore, with the objective of extending the cleanliness campaign to other regions, the Fire & Emergency Services, in collaboration with the Waqf Board Srinagar, has organized cleanliness initiatives at three historical shrines: Makhdoom Sahib, Peer Dastageer Sahib, and Jenab Sahab Soura.

Alok Kumar (ADGP), Director of Fire & Emergency Services in J&K, personally oversees and monitors Special Campaign 3.0 to ensure its success. He has directed Command Officers and Jawans to wholeheartedly embrace cleanliness and conduct comprehensive clean-up activities in their respective stations and offices. This concerted effort aims to foster a healthy and harmonious environment in their workspaces and surroundings.

This campaign, which commenced on the October 2, will persist until the October 31, 2023. (GNS)
