SRINAGAR: Indian Institute Of Science, Bengaluru invites applications for CV Raman post doctoral fellowship for 50 positions.
Research can be done in different fields of Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Electrical, Electronics and Computer Sciences, Mechanical Sciences, Interdisciplinary Research and other Interdisciplinary Centres.
Applicants must have pursued PhD with first class or equivalent in the proceeding degree with good academic record. Those who are expecting to submit the PhD thesis shortly may also apply but their application will only be considered after thesis submission.
Candidates should preferably be less than 32-years of age when applying. Overseas Citizens of India (ODI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and foreign nationals are also eligible to apply.
The duration of the fellowship is one year and in exceptional cases, it may be extended by one more year. Selected candidates will receive a consolidated package of Rs 1 lakh per month and a research grant of Rs 8 lakh person year.
Candidates can apply anytime during the year as the applications are reviewed once every three months. At present, candidates who are willing to apply should do so before December 31, 2022.
Applicants must contact a faculty member for CV Raman Post doctoral fellowship in IISc who is willing to host the candidate and receive a consent letter or consent email as a part of application package. In addition to it, other documents which are required to submit include CV with a list of all publications, PDF files of at least 2 and up to 5 important publications, proposed research plan up to 500 words and any other relevant information.
