Srinagar

The President, the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Inc) Javid Ahmad Tenga has in strongest of the words condemned the use of forces on worshipers at Friday prayers in Jamia Masjid, Srinagar on May 25, 2018.

“The government Forces have fired pellets into the Masjid injuring hundreds of men and women. The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry fails to understand as to what forces the state administration to deploy government forces at a place of worship where a large number of people gathered peacefully to offer prayers,” the spokesman in a statement said.

“Deployment of government Forces, however, paves way for their confrontation for any trifle issue during the movement of people in the Masjid area,” the statement reads.

The Chamber in a statement would, therefore, urge the state administration to ensure that the Security Forces are no more deployed in the close vicinity Jamia Masjid to avoid confrontation which leads to death and lethal injuries.
