SRINAGAR: On Tuesday night at least two dozen sheep were killed by predators and left four injured in Rembalpora Village of Kunzer in north Kashmir, reports reaching here said. The attacker is presumed to be a leopard.

The herd belonged to Mehraj Din Reshi.

“They were killed in the night by the wild animal which then left the scene, i didn’t hear any commotion that would have prompted me to check the livestock,” said Reshi. “On Tuesday morning as usual when I went to the animal shed for the purpose of feeding them I saw the dead sheep there.”

The incident has scared the village. They have asked Wildlife officials to lay a trap for the wild animal so that these incidents would be prevented.
