SRINAGAR: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal-JKPS, ON Wednesday announced the conclusion of the Shri Machail Mata Yatra-2023 in Padder, a significant pilgrimage event in the region, second only to the Amarnath Yatra.

Official records indicate that Two Lakh pilgrims paid their respects at the hallowed shrine.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal, told the news agency KS that he extends heartfelt congratulations to all the residents of Kishtwar, security agencies, and the civil administration for their outstanding efforts in ensuring the safe and successful culmination of Shri Machail Yatra 2023.

The Yatra concluded on September 5, with immense religious fervor and enthusiasm.

The Machail Yatra is an annual pilgrimage of great significance, and the seamless coordination and dedication of the security agencies and civil administration have played a pivotal role in its successful conclusion.

“The hard work and vigilance of all personnel involved in this massive operation, including the police force, paramilitary forces, and other relevant authorities, have been instrumental in creating a secure environment for the devotees participating in this sacred journey,” Poswal said.

“As we mark the end of this year’s yatra, it is a moment to reflect on the importance of teamwork and preparedness in ensuring the safety and well-being of all pilgrims,” he added. (KS)
