SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has issued a circular directing all officers and officials within its jurisdiction to seek prior permission from the competent authority before applying for any competitive examination or pursuing further studies.
The circular comes as a response to a growing trend where individuals were not seeking approval before submitting their examination or admission forms, which was found to be in violation of established official procedures.
The circular, dated July 25, 2023 issued to this effect emphasises the importance of seeking permission prior to submitting examination or admission forms. The court has urged all officers and officials to adhere strictly to this procedure to avoid serious consequences.
“It is hereby impressed upon all the officers/officials of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh who desires to apply and appear in any competitive examination or intend to pursue further studies to seek prior permission from the competent authority before submitting their forms to the concerned quarters. Any deviation thereof shall be viewed seriously”, the notification reads.
