SRINAGAR: The State Bank of India is recruiting probationary officers for the year 2023-24. Prospective candidates who are willing to apply are required to do so through the online mode on their website by or before September 9, 2023.

The application charges will be ₹750 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and ‘Nil’ for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

The eligibility criteria for applicants willing to apply involve essential academic qualifications; Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final Year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally, subject to the condition that, if called for an interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before December 31, 2023.

Candidates having an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before December 31, 2023. Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, etc., are also eligible.

Candidates inclined to apply should not be below 21 years and not above 30 years as of April 1, 2023, i.e., candidates must have been born not later than April 1, 2002, and not earlier than April 2, 1993.

The total number of vacancies available is 2,000.

The selection process for Probationary Officers will consist of a three-phase process. Phase-I will involve the Preliminary Examination, Phase II will involve the main examination, and Phase III will comprise a Psychometric Test, Group Exercise, and Interview.

The emoluments start from ₹41,960 (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of ₹36,000-1,490/7-46,430-1,740/2-49,910-1,990/7-63,840 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The officials will be eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, PF, and Contributed Pension Fund, i.e., NPS, LFC, Medical Facility, Lease rental facility, and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time.
