SRINAGAR: Security forces have initiated a search operation on Wednesday in response to detecting unusual activity near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The operation started in the Sawjian sector during the early hours of the day and was ongoing at the time of the latest updates, officials said.
They added that the military personnel observed the movement of a group of individuals suspected to be militants, who were allegedly attempting to infiltrate from the neighboring border.
Additional reinforcements have been dispatched to the area, and more information is anticipated as the situation develops.
