SRINAGAR: The Federation of Chambers of Industries Kashmir (FCIK) expressed deep regret and sorrow over the sad demise of the young daughter of the prominent entrepreneur and former President of KCCI, Rauf Punjabi. She breathed her last on Thursday evening after a short but brave battle with carcinoma.

While praying for the eternal peace of the deceased, the Advisory Committee of FCIK, on behalf of the entire industrial fraternity of Kashmir, conveyed heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family, particularly to Rauf Punjabi, Qazi Burhan Shunthoo, Qazi Basharat Ahmad Shunthoo, Qazi Sajad Ahmad Shunthoo, Ajaz Ahmad Punjabi, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, and others.

“FCIK also regrets the departure of Basharat Saleem Lankar, son of Bashir Ahmad Lankar, to the eternal world after a sudden cardiac arrest. The deceased happened to be the brother-in-law of former FCIK Vice President Mohammad Yousuf Techo. FCIK sympathises with the bereaved family, including Mohammad Yousuf Techo, Ghulam Nabi Techo, Bashir Ahmad Lankar, Mehraj-ud-Din Lankar, Farooq Ahmad Lankar, and others,” reads a statement issued to press.

Advisory Committee members, including Shahid Kamili, Shakeel Qalander, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, as well as Presidents and members of various industrial estates and associations, participated in the last rites of the deceased persons and visited the residences of both the Shunthoos’ and Lankars’ to condole the bereavement of the young deceased with the bereaved families.
