Two persons died and five others were injured in different road accidents across the valley. A police statement said on Sunday.
A Safari vehicle bearing registration number JK03D/ 0555 turned turtle near Iqbal Abad KP road, Islamab, resulting in on spot death of the driver Danish Ahmad Baba son of Javid Ahmad Baba resident of Gulshan Abad. The Body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05B/5477 hit five year old Faizan Ahmad Malla son of Reyaz Ahmad Malla resident of Markundal, in Sumbal, Bandipora. The injured boy succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to the hospital. The body of deceased was handed over to his next of kins for last rites.
A motorcycle bearing chasis number L-76586 hit and injured a pedestrian Tariq Ahmad Hakeem son of Mohammed Maqbool resident of Mandir Bagh, near Bagat Chowk, in Srinagar. The Injured has been shifted to Hospital for treatment.
An unknown vehicle hit and injured unidentified persons at highway near SDA, Bemina, in Srinagar. The Injured was shifted to JVC Hospital, Srinagar where from he has been referred to SKIMS Soura in critical condition.
A Maruti 800 bearing registration number JK05/4716 hit and injured 80 years old Ghulam Mohammad Gojri son of Lassa resident of Shot Muqam, Bramarri near main Chowk, Kupwara. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
A Tipper bearing registered number JK01M/4690 and a Santro bearing registration number JK04A/9488 collided at Gopalpora, in Chadoora Budgam, resulting in injuries to the Santro driver Mohammad Rafiq Shah son of Abdul Aziz resident of Char-e-Sharief, Budgam. The injured has been shifted to SKIMS, Soura for treatment.
