Islamabad police recovered 3 kgs of charas in Mattan area, however, the peddlers managed to give a slip, police spokesperson said on Wednesday.
“Today morning a naka party of police station Mattan was on routine naka checking. During the checking two persons were intercepted who were carrying a bag. On being intercepted, the duo left the bag and manage to escape. The Police party chased the duo but could not get them. Upon the search of bag around 3kgs of Charas was recovered,” reads a statement.
Meanwhile a case FIR No. 68/2013 under section 20 NDPS Act was registered and a manhunt was launched to arrest the culprits.
