Three people were killed while as two others have received serious injuries in a road accident in Bhadarwah area of Jammu’s Doda district on Thursday night.

According to reports, a Maruti Van plunged into a deep gorge near Pounra village of Bhaderwah resulting in the death of three.

The vehicle in which five people were traveling, as per reports, was on way from Bhaderwah town to Manthla when it met an accident near Pounra village, 11 km from Bhaderwah at 9.30 pm.

All the five passengers were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Bhadarwah for treatment but three of them succumbed on way.

The deceased have been identified as forest guard Des Raj (40) S/O Churu Ram R/O Cheeka Manthala, Om Kar S/O Roop Chand Baghat R/O Cheeka Manthala, Vejinder Kumar S/O Thakar Lal R/O Cheeka Manthala.

Other two, who have received serious injuries have been identified as Arun Kumar S/O Gori Dass and Rakesh Kumar S/O Jagjit Singh R/O Cheka Manthala.
