04 persons died while one person was injured in different road traffic accidents across the valley while four shops were damaged in fire in Srinagar, police statement said on Monday.

A load carrier bearing registration JK03D/1832 hit a motorcyclist Ghulam Hyder Tantray resident of Awara Kanelwon at Darkhan Darigund, Srigufwara, resulting on spot death of motorcyclist.

In another accident, a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK04B/6602 hit Ghulam Qadir Bhat resident of Baginder Humhama at Baginder Humhama, resulting in his on spot death, the statement said.

In another accident, a Sumo bearing registration JK03/6522 hit Bashir Ahmad Dar son of Nizam-ud-Din resident of Ringmando Kapran, at Halsidar Dooru resulting in his on spot death, it further said.

In another accident, a Tipper bearing registration number JK01H/4758 hit and injured Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Peer resident of Syedpora Karnah near Kidney Hospital Sonwar, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

In another accident, a load carrier bearing registration number JK01V-1948 hit an LP Tata 407 bearing registration number Jk05/9261 near Lalad Sopore Tarzoo, resulting in injuries to the load carrier driver. The injured was shifted to sub District hospital, Sopore.

Meanwhile, the police said that four shops were damaged in a fire incident in Batamaloo area of Srinagar District last evening.

“Fire erupted at General Bus stand Batamaloo last evening, resulting in damage to the four shops belonging to Zahoor Ahmad Machloo, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, Abdul Qayoom Dar and Irshad Hussain.”
