Awantipora Police has arrested four gamblers and recovered stake money of rupees 7,900 from the gambling spot, police said on Friday.
The spokesman in a statement said that acting on an information, a police party of Police Station Khrew headed by SHO Khrew Javaid Ahmad raided a gambling site at village Sharshali Khrew and arrested four gamblers.
The spokesman said that “stake money of rupees 7900 and playing cards were recovered from the spot.”
A case under relevant section of gambling Act has been registered in Police Station Khrew and investigation was taken up.
