Four residential houses were damaged in a fire incident in Bagiyas area of Srinagar last evening, police said Friday.
“Fire broke out in a joint residential house of Abdul Rashid Bhat, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat and Mohammad Shafi sons of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Doniwari Chattabal Bagiyass. The fire engulfed adjacent houses of Abdul Majeed Bhat son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat, Ajaz Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad and Mohammad Yousuf Bhat son of Ghulam Ahmad,” the police said in a statement.
“In this incident, joint residential house was damaged completely and other three houses were damaged partially. Fire tenders brought fire under control with the help of police and locals.”
