Police have solved a murder case by arresting five persons involved in the murder of a youth whose body was recovered from a Nallah in July, this year, a police statement said on Tuesday.
“The body of a youth Yawar Amin Ganie son of Mohammad Amin Ganie resident of Pariwan was recovered from a nallah between Pariwan and Rakhama on 30-07-2014. The body bore visible marks of violence. Police registered a case FIR number 172/2014 under section 302/RPC to ascertain the cause of the death in Police Station Kulgam and investigation was taken up,” the statement said.
Police arrested five persons involved in the murder, thereby solving the case, the statement said.
“The accused involved in the murder have been identified as Zubair Ahmad Ganie, Muneeb Hamid Mir, Mubarak Ahmad Naik, Anayatullah Mushtaq all residents of Rakhama, Shopian and Mohammad Aqib Nengroo resident of Sempora Kulgam,” it said.
The statement further said that people have appreciated the efforts of Kulgam Police for solving the blind murder case. Investigation of the case was conducted by Dy SP Hqrs Kulgam Irshad Hussain Rather.
