Handwara police arrested six gamblers and seized stake money of rupees 3400 from the gambling site.
“Acting on information regarding gambling in Martgam area, a police party of Police Post Langate headed by In-charge PP Langate Jan Mohammad raided the gambling site,” a spokesman in a statement said.
During the raid, the police team arrested six gamblers and seized stake money of rupees 3400 from the gambling site. In this regard, a case FIR number 228/2018 under section 13 gambling Act has been registered and the investigation has been taken up, the spokesman added.
