One person dies while three others were injured in different road accidents in the valley, a police spokesperson informed this evening.
In Kulgam, a Sumo bearing registration number JK03-3057 hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Yousuf Malik resident of Yaripora near Petrol Pump Yaripora. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. Kulgam police has registered a case in this regard.
In Handwara, a Tractor driven by Manzoor Ahmad Bhat resident of Lone Harie met with an accident at Wani Mohalla Doolipora in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vilgam, resulting in injuries to the driver. The injured was shifted to District Hospital for treatment, where from he was referred to Srinagar Hospital for further treatment. Handwara police has registered a case in this regard.
In Anantnag, a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK03B-6105 hit and injured a pedestrian Mushtaq Ahmed Wani resident Nayana on National Highway at Goriwan in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bijbehara. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Anantnag police has registered a case in this regard.
In Kupwara, an unknown Motorcycle hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Shafi Harray resident of Chontiwari Machil at Bypass near J&K Bank. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Kupwara police has registered a case in this regard.
