In a tragic accident on Kishtwar-Padder road near Dool, some 12 KM from Kishtwar town, one person died while three others got injured when an ill-fated truck bearing registration no. JK02T-1021 was returning to Kishtwar after unloading CAPD ration for Cherji village and rolled down into a deep gorge.
The deceased, who died on spot, was identified by police as Jaffer Hussain Bagwan, s/o Mohammed Iqbal r/o Huller.
As per details available with Kashmir Life after receiving information about the accident, police under the supervision of additional SP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom, officials of district administration along with Red Cross volunteers and locals immediately rushed to the spot and started rescue and relief operation.
All the injured persons were shifted to district hospital Kishtwar from where one critically injured person identified as 62 year old Ashok Kumar, s/o Mangat Ram Badyal, r/o Wasser Kishtwar was referred to Government Medical College Jammu in critical condition.
As per hospital sources, he had received multiple injuries including internal one while two other injured persons identified as Mohammed Iqbal, s/o Ab Majeed, r/o Chatroo and Akhtar Hussain, s/o Abdul Rashid, r/o Dool Kishtwar are undergoing treatment at district hospital Kishtwar and their condition is said to be stable.
