SRINAGAR: At least ten residential houses, four cowsheds were gutted, while as 28 sheep have perished in a massive blaze in Baduaab village of Tulail of Gurez sub-division in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday.
Soon after the fire incident, the local and fire tenders rushed to spot to douse the flames.
A police official told news agency KDC that three houses and four cowsheds were completely gutted while as seven other houses were partially damaged in the fire incident.
He said all the people residing in the houses were evacuated, however, 28 sheep perished in the incident.
He further said that ‘Chimney’ is believed to be the cause behind the fire, however, police registered a case pertaining to the incident and investigations are on.
Meanwhile, people have appealed to the district administration Bandipora to provide early relief to the victim families of a fire incident.
