A girl died after she was injured in a road accident in Tral area of Awantipora Saturday afternoon, police said in a statement.
“Today afternoon a 10 years old girl identified as Arbeena Shah daughter of Mukhtar Ahmad Shah resident of Gadikhal, Awantipora was hit by a motorcycle driven by a civilian at ladiyar, in the jurisdiction of police station Tral. She was shifted to Tral hospital where she succumbed to her injuries,” the statement said.
Police station Tral has lodged an FIR number 39/2017 under 279, 304 A RPC in this regard and launched a manhunt to nab the motorcyclist.
