Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Priya Sethi informed the house that 106 posts are vacant in J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages including 29 Gazetted posts, 64 Non-gazetted and 13 Class IV posts.

Replying to a question by Zafar Iqbal Manhas, the minister said that these posts are vacant as certain modifications are required in Recruitment Rules of the Academy and a Committee has been constituted for reframing these Rules.

The minister said the process for filling up the vacant posts will be started as soon as the Recruitment Rules are updated, modified and reframed.

Priya Sethi further stated that Rs 4.75 crore has been spent so far on the construction of Tehzeeb Mahal in Srinagar. She said the project will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 72 crore.
