Taking the creation of administrative units in the state to its logical conclusion, the Revenue Department today ordered the placement of 53 Naib Tehsildars as In Charge Tehsildars and 56 Naib Tehsildars were ordered to look after the work of Tehsildars, an official statement said.
The Minister of State for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Ajaz Ahmad Khan took a prompt decision and approved the proposal today to ensure making the newly created administrative units fully functional early, the statement added.
Pertinently, the state cabinet in its meeting held on July 16, 2014, approved the creation of new administrative units including 135 tehsils. During the said meeting the cabinet also approved the road map framed for the operationalization of new administrative units including tehsils for which it gave a time frame of 15 days for posting of Tehsildars. And today the department ordered the posting of Tehsildars to 109 newly created tehsils to make them operational.
