The 11th students of Government Higher Secondary School Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday held a protest demanding deferment of their examination.

Reports said a number of class 11th students of the school assembled on Srinagar-Kupwara highway at Sopore market and blocked the vehicular movement.

The students were holding placards and banners which read “defer our exams” and “We want Justice.” The protesting students asked the authorities, especially JK Board of School Education (BOSE) to reschedule their exams to mid-November so that they could complete their syllabus.

The students said they will boycott the upcoming annual exams if the date sheet is not rescheduled.

The JK Board of School education (BOSE) has scheduled the annual exams for class 10, 11 and 12th from last week of October.

From past few days, the students from class 10th to 12th are seeking deferment of their annual exams to mid-November citing non-completion of the syllabus in schools.
