Police has booked eleven youth including some minors in stone pelting in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district.
Police sources said that these youth have been booked under FIR number in 160/2017 in Islamabad police station under sections 147 ,14’336′ 307 ‘341’307’427 RPC and 3/2 PPD act.

The FIR has mentioned eleven youth from different places of the Islamabad town for “heavy stone pelting” on last Friday at Hanfia Jamia masjid Reshibazar.

Parents of the one of the detained youth said that their son is a minor.

As per the date of birth certificate provided by the school of the ‘minor’ he is 12-year-old and is student of class 8 in a private school of Islamabad.

“They have kept him in custody from past three days illegally and he is traumatized,” said his father. “My son’s life is in risk.”

However, when contacted, concerned police officials did not answer to the repeated calls.

On last Friday after clashes more than fifteen youth including some minors were detained by police in the town.

Locals had alleged police of highhandedness and desecrating a mosque.

Later town also witnessed a day long shutdown against the alleged highhandedness.
