Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Syed Basharat Bukhari today informed the house that 1236 kanal of state and Kahcharai land is under occupation of various individuals in Khansahib constituency.
Replying to a question by Saif-ud-Din Bhat, Minister said that 64 persons have erected structures on the encroached land, of which, four shopkeepers have sought exchange of land. He said government would formulate a comprehensive policy to retrieve the encroached state and Kahcharai land.
The Minister asserted that formulation of comprehensive policy for eviction of encroached land is necessary under which strict action would be taken against the encroachers. He said utmost priority of the government is to retrieve all encroached land whether State or Kahcharai and same would be utilized for developing public infrastructure and promote other welfare activities.
