Speaking to reporters, Itoo said the PDP was without issues and had resorted to raising what she described as irrelevant matters, including the ongoing debate on Urdu.

“Nobody can touch Urdu or any other language. It is our spirit,” she said.

Referring to the recent Rajya Sabha elections, Itoo alleged that the PDP had supported the Bharatiya Janata Party and was now raising such issues to deflect attention.

“They voted for the BJP in the Rajya Sabha. To hide their failures and wrongdoings, they are raising such issues,” she said.

The minister also referred to the 2016 unrest, accusing the PDP-led government of using force against civilians.

“During their rule, youth were killed, pellets were used on people, and many were blinded and disabled. Around 13 lakh pellets were used during that period,” she said.

Itoo further held the PDP responsible for the current political situation in Jammu and Kashmir, including its status as a Union Territory.

“We do not have powers today, and that is because of the PDP,” she said. (KNT)
