SRINAGAR : A 13-year-old girl was injured after being attacked by a leopard in the Kokothal area of Kreeri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday evening, officials said.
An official said the girl, identified as Hadiya Mushtaq, was attacked by the leopard in Kokothal and sustained injuries. She was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment.
The official said her condition was not immediately known.
The incident comes days after an eight-year-old boy, Aahil Fayaz, was injured in a leopard attack in Wagila Wagoora village of Kreeri.
The repeated attacks have sparked concern among residents, who have urged the Wildlife Department to intensify search operations and take immediate steps to capture the leopard.(KNO)
