During the vehicle checking, 130 vehicles that were found in violation of traffic laws especially those lacking HSRP, seat belts, helmets, and documents, were fined.

The drivers were advised to obey and follow traffic rules and regulations. The two-wheelers motorists were advised to wear crash helmets and avoid triple riding, besides not to indulge in reckless, dangerous, and zigzag driving.

Talking to reporters Singh said they are receiving many complaints about traffic scenarios. “The department would request the authorities and SMC Ganderbal act against those who encroached upon footpaths and designate prescribed parking spaces for vehicles.”
