SRINAGAR: The Ministry of Minority Affairs has announced the registration and allocation of Hajj quota for Hajj Group Organisers (HGOs) for the year 2026, following its circular issued on August 25, 2025.
According to the ministry, the quota of Indian pilgrims for Hajj 2026 will continue to be distributed in the ratio of 70:30 between the Hajj Committee of India (HCoI) and Combined Hajj Group Operators (CHGOs), as decided during the Haj Review Meeting chaired by the Union Minister for Minority Affairs on July 4, 2025. While the Saudi Government has not yet confirmed the exact quota for any country, the ministry has assumed that India’s allocation will remain the same as Hajj 2025, setting aside 52,507 seats for HGOs.
The government has also clarified that the status of qualified HGOs, as determined during Hajj 2025, will remain unchanged for Hajj 2026, subject to final confirmation of quota by Saudi authorities.
In Jammu and Kashmir, 14 companies have been allotted a total quota of 664 seats for Hajj 2026. Among them, Labaika Hajj and Umrah Services has been placed in Category I with an allotment of 97 seats. Nine experienced companies under Category II have been granted between 40 and 46 seats each, while four new applicants in Category II have been allotted quotas ranging from 40 to 46 seats.
The list of eligible HGOs in Jammu and Kashmir for Hajj 2026 includes Al Hayat Hajj and Omrah, Universe Travel Corporation, Behreen Travels, Al Ghazali Tour and Travels, Sahar Tours and Travels, Alhuda Travels, Al Safeer Tour and Travels, Fly High Tour and Travels, and Gazi Tour and Travels in the experienced category. The new applicants found eligible are Al Ansar Tours and Travels, Alharamain Hajj and Umrah Services, Javid Iqbal Al Haram Tours, and Madina World Travels Pvt Ltd.
The JK Registered Hajj Group Organisers, headed by its chairman Umar Nazir Tibet Baqal, welcomed the allocation and said that the allotments were made in accordance with the government order issued on August 25, 2025.
