SRINAGAR: A 15-year-old boy hailing from Srinagar drowned while taking a bath in Rangil area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday evening.
Quoting officials, KNO reported that the minor identified as Azmat Ahmad Wani, son of Bilal Ahmad Wani a resident of Rangpora Illahibagh drowned in Rangil water canal while he was taking a bath. Locals said that after the incident, police were informed and a rescue operation was launched to retrieve the boy.
Soon after being retrieved, the boy was shifted to a nearby hospital wherefrom he was shifted to SKIMS, Soura where he succumbed later.
