Three residential houses were gutted in a fire in Srinagar on Saturday morning.

Locals said that fire broke out in the two story residential house of Ghulam Rasool Matto resident of Nalabal area in Nowshera Srinagar, resulting in complete damage to the house. The fire also spread to the two neighbouring houses which were also gutted in the incident. The houses belonged to Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Abdul Rashid Tawheed.

Fire tenders from different parts of Srinagar were rushed to the spot to douse off the flames, clearly visible from a distance.

SHO Soura, told Kashmir Life that the fire was brought under control. Three residential houses were completely damaged and one person was injured in the incident.
