SRINAGAR: A 16-year-old boy was found dead near a water canal in Kuloosa locality of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, officials said on Tuesday.
Quoting officials the news agency KNO reported that the body was spotted by locals late in the evening and they informed the police accordingly.
They said that the deceased was identified as Umer Farooq Mir (16), son of Farooq Ahmad Mir a resident of Dachigam area.
Meanwhile, a police official said that a case has been registered and an investigation has been taken up.
