SRINAGAR: Police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district arrested a couple on Wednesday and seized a large quantity of alcohol from their possession.
During a ‘naka’ check, police intercepted a vehicle at Madmadow Kalaroos and seized 166 bottles of wine and 12 bottles of beer, police posted on X.
The occupants of the vehicle, a husband and wife from Parraypora Kalaroos, were arrested, and a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law.
