SRINAGAR: In yet another incident, a 17 year old girl allegedly died by suicide after consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Wangath area of Ganderbal district.
An official told a local news agency Kashmir News Observer that the girl was an orphan from Wangath (Name withheld) and consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
He said that she was rushed to a nearby hospital, but, she died on way to the hospital itself.
The body was handed over to the family for the last rites after all legal formalities, he added.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case and started investigation to ascertain as to what prompted her to take this extreme step. (KNO)
