SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday named at least 18 educational institutions after the ‘martyrs and eminent personalities’.
The government also instructed the concerned authorities to ensure the naming of infrastructure.
“The School Education Department shall take immediate necessary steps including amending records for effecting the changes; Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir/Jammu shall personally monitor the naming of infrastructure assets in their respective divisions; and Deputy Commissioner(s) shall ensure that suitable events are held in connection with the naming of these infrastructure assets,” reads the order.
